Terms of Use

Last updated October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Trajectory app and its online services. By using Trajectory you agree to them.

1. The app

Trajectory plans study time from your syllabi, deadlines and commitments. Plans, AI suggestions, study guides and practice questions are aids, not guarantees: check important dates against your syllabus and your instructor, and use AI-generated content with judgment.

2. License

Trajectory is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of the app downloaded from the App Store is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies to the extent required.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Trajectory Pro is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions and as one-time purchases, bought through Apple. A one-time purchase gives Pro either for the period stated before you buy (for example 12 months) or permanently, and never renews. Prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion ends when you buy a subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the syllabi, notes and messages you provide. You give us permission to process them only to provide the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload material you have the right to use.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no automated scraping of its AI features, no unlawful or infringing content, and no use of Trajectory to cheat where your institution forbids it. We may limit or suspend access that abuses the service; fair daily limits apply to AI features.

6. Accounts

Trajectory needs an account, which you create by signing in with Apple. You can delete it, together with your saved plan, at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account & Data).

7. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for missed deadlines, grades or decisions made using the app. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Trajectory in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Questions: elijahhaskell@trajectoryapp.org.
